The Basementsaver WPA1 and the Basepump RB750-AVB are exactly identical pump units that represent the most advanced water powered sump pump technology currently available:

  • Water Powered Pumps use water flow from your city water supply to remove up to 900gph from your basement sump.
  • Ultra-Reliable Backup Pump Technology with no battery to maintain, and no moving components to wear out.
  • Automatic Operation pumping only when necessary to keep your basement dry.
  • Unlimited Run Time so long as you have 40psi or more city water pressure available.
  • Highly Efficient ceiling mounted pumps remove 2 gallons from your sump for every gallon of city water used.
  • Heavy-Duty Schedule 80 Polypropylene Construction is highly resistant to the corrosion, and repels the fouling, that usually degrades the performance of most pumps over time.
  • Simple DIY Installation with fully illustrated step-by-step pump installation instructions.
  • FREE Independent Water Alarm included with every Basementsaver WP1-EZ and Basepump RB750-EZ pump.
  • 30 Day Money-Back Guarantee and 5 Year Limited Warranty on every WP1-EZ and RB750-EZ pump.

WPA1 / RB750-AVB Backup Pump Operation

Basepump Water Powered Sump Pump Schematic

When water in your basement sump rises above the normal control range provided by your primary sump pump, your backup pump automatically starts pumping until the sump water is reduced sufficiently to lower it’s float below the trigger level:

  • Excess rising water in your basement sump lifts the backup pump Float
  • The backup pump float activates a Hydraulic Valve on the pump unit that allows city water to run through the Ejector.
  • Each gallon of city water flow through the backup pump ejector creates sufficient suction to pull 2 gallons of water from your sump up the suction tube.
  • A Check Valve on the pump body prevents water from returning back down into your sump.
  • The 2 gallons of sump water mix with the 1 gallon of city water as they discharge together out of the backup pump ejector into the discharge pipe and out of your basement.

Basementsaver WP1 / Basepump RB750 Standard Residential Backup Sump Pump Pumps Up To 900gph

Basepump RB750-AVB Water Powered Sump Pump with AVB Backflow Prevention
AVB Models Include Atmospheric Vacuum Breaker Backflow Prevention Devices

The Basementsaver WPA1 / Basepump RB750-AVB is a WP1 / RB750 pump unit that comes with an integrated brass Atmospheric Vacuum Breaker (AVB), ASSE 1001 listed, CSA 64.1.1 certified, and IAPMO listed, mounted on the downstream side of the backup pump main control valve.

This model is required for installations in the following states:

  • Indiana (Approval#608.3)
  • Minnesota(Approval#603.5.9)
  • Ohio (Approval#608.3)
  • Wisconsin (Approval#20100389)

The WP1 / RB750 is our Standard Residential water powered backup pump model, providing 900gph maximum pumping capacity through a 10ft lift at 90psi city water pressure. This Size 1 pump is designed for application in most residential basements that can provide a city water supply at a pressure in the range 40-90psi.

The integrated AVB requires that this backup pump model must be installed on a dedicated discharge line. It must not be used when the backup pump is required to share the same discharge pipe as the primary sump pump.

The WPA1 / RB750-AVB pump will operate in your basement if your outside standard hose spigot can supply water at a sufficient flow rate to fill a bucket to the 5 gallon level in 40 seconds or less (allow 25% longer for a frost-proof spigot).

WPA1 / RB750-AVB Water Powered Backup Sump Pump Installation

The Basementsaver WPA1 and Basepump RB750-AVB both come with Fully-Illustrated, Step-By-Step, Installation Instructions and may be easily installed by any homeowner with moderate DIY capability and a few common tools.

The WP1 / RB750 backup pump Ejector unit installs on a rafter in your basement ceiling, above your sump pit, with a vertical suction tube running down from the pump body into your sump. A hydraulic float is attached to the suction tube inside your sump, above the level of the water surface that is normally maintained by your primary sump pump.

Water Power is provided by permanently connecting a pipe from your city water supply into the pump unit, and sump water is discharged into the discharge pipe exiting to the outside of your home.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
You MUST provide the WPA1 / RB750-AVB unit with a dedicated discharge pipe.
You must NOT allow the WPA1 / RB750-AVB to share the discharge pipe for your primary sump pump, or water coming from the primary sump pump will leak into your basement via the AVB!
